About the event
The exhibition "Pittura a Napoli dopo Caravaggio. Il Seicento nella collezione della Fondazione De Vito" has been on show at Forte Pietro Leopoldo I in Forte dei Marmi since 27 March. Sunday 1 November is its official closing day.
On that day you can book a free guided visit with the curator Nadia Bastogi, an art historian specialising in seventeenth-century painting and scientific director of the Fondazione De Vito. There are two time slots: 15:30 and 17:00.
Using works from the Fondazione De Vito, the exhibition pays tribute to seventeenth-century Neapolitan painting. It was promoted by the Comune di Forte dei Marmi together with the Fondazione Villa Bertelli, in collaboration with the Fondazione Giuseppe e Margaret De Vito per la Storia dell'arte moderna a Napoli.
The exhibition can also be visited free of charge in the morning.

About Forte dei Marmi
Forte dei Marmi takes its name from the small fort in Piazza Garibaldi, completed in 1788 under Grand Duke Peter Leopold to guard the beach where marble from the Apuan Alps was stored and shipped. The town belonged to Pietrasanta until 26 April 1914, when it became a comune of its own.
