About versilia.living
Versilia is the coast of northern Tuscany in the province of Lucca, between the Apuan Alps and the Tyrrhenian Sea. Its seven comuni run from the beach resorts of Forte dei Marmi, Marina di Pietrasanta, Lido di Camaiore, Viareggio and Torre del Lago to the old towns of Pietrasanta and Camaiore and the marble villages of Seravezza and Stazzema in the mountains. North of Forte dei Marmi the beach carries on into Cinquale, the seaside of Montignoso in the province of Massa-Carrara, which we cover too. versilia.living brings it together in one place: what’s on in every town, the weekly markets, the weather and the wind on the sea.
We only publish facts we can trace to a source — the comuni, festivals and venues, local newspapers and clubs, public data such as ISTAT and Wikidata, and weather from Open-Meteo — and we never add details that aren’t there. Every event links back to the organiser or the site that published it. Our software reads public pages politely: it identifies itself and respects robots.txt.

Privacy
versilia.living has no accounts, no forms and no ads. Fonts are served from our own domain.
We do not use analytics or tracking cookies.
If you star a town on the weather page, that town’s name is saved in your browser (localStorage) so the home page can show its forecast. It never leaves your device; tap the star again to remove it.
Maps load their tiles from OpenStreetMap and the map library from jsDelivr when you scroll to a map; the live wind readings are fetched from Open-Meteo in your browser. These services receive your IP address like any website you visit.
On the home page, the town and the distance you pick are remembered in your browser (localStorage) so the page opens there next time. They never leave your device; pick the whole lake again to forget the town.
The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes technical request data (such as IP address) to deliver pages and protect against abuse.
