Halloween at the Museum: A Spooky Treasure Hunt

About the event

Somewhere among the rooms of the Civico Museo Archeologico in Camaiore, a mysterious treasure is hidden. Young explorers have to find it.

Along the way they decipher clues, solve riddles and meet mischievous ghosts, with a few small thrills. For the evening the museum becomes a playful, spooky setting designed for curious and brave children. Surprises and mysteries test their intuition and imagination.

The organisers promise that the ghosts are more cheeky than frightening.

The event takes place on Saturday 31 October 2026 from 17:00 to 20:00 and costs €5 per participant. Places must be booked through the online form linked on the museum's listing.

Getting to Camaiore

By car, use the A12 Viareggio-Camaiore exit, or the SP1 road from Lucca. The comune's railway stop is Camaiore Lido-Capezzano on the Genoa–Pisa line, served by Trenitalia regional trains. Autolinee Toscane runs the local buses, including services to Lido di Camaiore and Lucca.

About Camaiore

Camaiore lies in a wide basin at the foot of the Apuan Alps, inland from Lido di Camaiore, its seaside frazione. The name comes from the Latin Campus Maior; the town grew in the Middle Ages along the Via Francigena, and in 1374 Lucca walled it with four gates and 13 towers, most of which were later pulled down.
