Libeccio & Maestrale
Versilia’s waves come with two winds: the Libeccio from the south-west and the Maestrale from the north-west. They make it one of Italy’s best-known surf coasts. Surfers meet at the pier in Forte dei Marmi, in Lido di Camaiore and off Piazza Mazzini in Viareggio, which is busiest with surfers in autumn.
