About the event

Inspired by Serena Dandini's "Il catalogo delle donne valorose", this show stars Lella Costa, who calls up the women one after another with a quotation, a song, a verse, a laugh or simply a name. Mary Anderson, inventor of the windscreen wiper, Marie Curie, Olympe De Gouges, Tina Anselmi, Pina Bausch, Maria Callas, Ilaria Alpi, Virginia Woolf, Hannah Arendt, Anne Frank, Marlene Dietrich and Artemisia Gentileschi are among them, until the count passes a hundred, one a minute.

Costa, presiding like a master of ceremonies, invites them to enter and dance with her. The title comes from Emma Goldman: if I can't dance, this is not my revolution.

The production brings together Serena Dandini and Lella Costa under the direction of Serena Sinigaglia. It portrays resourceful, unconventional women, often persecuted or misunderstood, who pursued goals that seemed out of reach, and who rarely appear in history books.

The show takes place on 16 April 2027 at 21:15.
