About the event
Villa Bertelli in Forte dei Marmi screens The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993), a landmark of world animation, known for redefining the standards of stop-motion (frame-by-frame animation) on the big screen.
The film is universally known as "Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas", but it was directed by Henry Selick. Tim Burton wrote the original poem on which the story is based, conceived and designed the characters and co-produced the film. He could not direct it because he was busy on the set of Batman Returns.
The event is free, with open entry until seats run out.

About Forte dei Marmi
Forte dei Marmi takes its name from the small fort in Piazza Garibaldi, completed in 1788 under Grand Duke Peter Leopold to guard the beach where marble from the Apuan Alps was stored and shipped. The town belonged to Pietrasanta until 26 April 1914, when it became a comune of its own.
