Dogs, Cats and Princesses – actor and puppet theatre, ages 4+

About the event

Princess Giulia rules over a people of dogs, who are not only her subjects but also her most loyal friends. Kind-hearted and beautiful, she lives in a fantasy world where suitors of every animal species try to win her heart, but none of them truly interests her.

Then fate brings her together with Prince Felix Mau. They fall in love at first sight, but Felix, as his name suggests, is the prince of the cats. The old rivalry between dogs and cats threatens to stand in the way of uniting the two royal houses: the felines cannot accept that their ruler should marry a dog princess, and the dogs seem unable to set aside their age-old hatred of cats.

Can Giulia and Felix defend their love and overcome a rivalry that has always existed?

The show uses actor theatre and figure theatre. It is written and directed by Enrico Falaschi and produced by Teatrino dei Fondi.

Getting to Viareggio

By car, leave the A12 at the Viareggio-Camaiore exit; the Viareggio–Lucca link road joins the A11 Florence motorway. Viareggio station is on the Genoa–Pisa line and is the terminus of the line to Lucca and Florence, with regional trains towards Pisa, La Spezia, Lucca and Florence. From Pisa airport, the PisaMover shuttle runs to Pisa Centrale in about 5 minutes, where you change to a train for Viareggio.

Parking: On-street parking in Viareggio is mostly paid blue-line parking, run for the Comune by MoVer (Mobilità Versilia). Rates vary by zone; pay at the meters or with the MoVer app. The signs on site always apply.
