Marina di Pietrasanta is the seaside frazione of Pietrasanta, a few kilometres from the historic centre, with about 4 km of coast between Forte dei Marmi and Lido di Camaiore. From north-west to south-east it runs through four localities: Fiumetto, Tonfano, Motrone and Le Focette.

It was already a known resort in the early 1930s. Dense pine woods once covered the area; the largest surviving piece is the Parco della Versiliana, about 80 hectares of holm oak, stone pine and maritime pine around a villa built in 1886. The writer Renato Fucini named it, Gabriele D'Annunzio stayed there in 1906, and the comune bought the estate in 1980 as a public park.

In July and August the park hosts the Festival La Versiliana: theatre, concerts and dance, daily talks at the Caffè della Versiliana and shows for children. Tonfano has a pier reaching into the sea, and the wide sandy beaches are well equipped.

Marina di Pietrasanta suits families, beach holidays and summer evenings out.
