Lido di Camaiore is the seaside part of the comune of Camaiore, on the Versilia coast just north of Viareggio, next to Marina di Pietrasanta. The ground here stayed marshy and largely empty until the 1800s; once it was drained, streets were laid out and hotels followed. From 1914 a coastal tramway linked it with Forte dei Marmi, Pietrasanta and Viareggio, until it was wrecked in 1944.

Life runs along the lungomare, Viale Europa, a promenade of about 3 km with the beach on one side and shops and restaurants on the other. The Pontile Bellavista Vittoria, a modern pier, reaches out over the sea to a round platform of about 700 m² and is a popular spot at sunset.

The fine-sand beach shelves gently into the sea. Most of it is taken by bathing establishments (bagni) and free stretches are few. The resort holds the Blue Flag, and Giro d'Italia stages finished here in 1997, 2002 and 2007.

Lido di Camaiore suits families, beach holidays and evening walks by the sea.
