About the event
"Twin Horizons" is the second event in the Immaginaria series, curated by Francesco Mutti and promoted with the Fondazione Terre Medicee, under the patronage of the Comune.
The show is a photographic research project by Umberto Ferrero, a young professional photographer. His pictures set two seemingly opposite worlds, India and England, in dialogue. The two countries are far apart but closely tied by the history of colonialism, and still reflect each other today through fragile yet significant multicultural relations.
Ferrero was born in Cremona in 1998 and works as a photographer, graphic designer and visual storyteller. He studied advertising communication at IULM in Milan and at Miami Ad School, then specialised in narration and storytelling at Scuola Holden in Turin. He is currently a freelance art director for Holden Studios and has travelled in Asia, the Middle East, Europe, Russia and America. He lives and works between Cremona, Milan and Turin.

Getting to Seravezza
By car, leave the A12 at the Versilia exit; from Pietrasanta the road climbs through Vallecchia and on the SP9 to Seravezza, about 7 km. The station is Forte dei Marmi-Seravezza-Querceta in the centre of Querceta, on the Genoa–Pisa line, served by regional trains and a seasonal Intercity. Autolinee Toscane buses from Pietrasanta and Forte dei Marmi run up the valley through Seravezza, but not often.
About Seravezza
Seravezza sits at the mouth of a valley in the Apuan Alps, where the Serra and Vezza streams meet to form the Versilia river, the river that gave the whole area its name. The old town is small and stony, and the comune reaches from the mountains down to Querceta on the Aurelia, next to Forte dei Marmi.
